Barn Conversion

Woodbarns Barn Conversion involved the conversion of four existing linked barns into a single residence. Woodbarns Barns is Grade 2 Listed and all design and materials required to be agreed with the Local Conservation Planning Officer prior to commencement. It was necessary to undertake a full Archaeological Report prior to commencing works on site.

The agreed works included underpinning all of the external walls, complete reworking of the oak timber frame and building in new and used oak structure, the rebuilding of external walls in brickwork and timber cladding over, insulating all new walls and roof structure, new doors and windows and a complete new roof structure. A mezzanine floor was constructed in the main barn area. All services were installed complete with underfloor heating in the new concrete floor slabs.

The project took fourteen months to complete. The external landscaping and inclusion of further existing barns for storage and car parking were added to the scheme prior to completion.
